The TKO in Wladimir Klitchsko’s 6th defense of the IBF title and third this year which improved the Ukrainian-born fighter to 52-3 with 46 KOs.
Hasim Rahman, the two-time heavyweight champ who stepped in as a substitute opponent last month, scrambled to get inside the lankier Klitschko’s reach, and dropped to 45-7-2.
The fighters commenced fast and light on their feet, but shortly it became evident that Rahman was clambering to get over the 3 1/2 -inch height advantage savoured by the champion. Rahman had to slant in drastically, and Klitschko easily deflected his punches.
